Johnson and Johnson rebate

If you go to coupons.com and look on the left side bar, you will see the Johnson and Johnson $10 rebate form. Look for "Beauty Care Savings Center."

You must purchase $30 of products from these specific lines:
Ambi, Aveeno, Clean & Clear, Purpose, Lubriderm and RoC

I did this rebate quickly, so I am sure I didn't get the best deal, but here is how I worked it:

Aveeno lotion ($3.49-$1 RA in ad Q-$2 IP=$.49)
Aveeno lotion ($3.49-$1 RA in ad Q-$2 IP=$.49)
Lubriderm lotion ($4.29-$1 RA in ad Q-$2 IP=$1.29)
Lubriderm lotion ($4.29-$1 RA in ad Q-$2 IP=$1.29)
Clean & Clear cleanser ($5.49-$1 RA in ad Q-$2 IP=$2.49)
Clean & Clear cleanser ($4.99-$1 RA in ad Q-$2 IP=$1.99)
Aveeno baby lotion ($4.54-$1 Target Q=$3.54)

Total OOP=$11.58
-$10 Rebate
=$1.58 for 7 Johnson & Johnson products!!

Giant Eagle trip (average of 53.65% savings)

After Rite Aid, I ventured across the street to do my weekly grocery shopping at Giant Eagle. All in all, here is how it went:

Transaction #1:
Total OOP: $59.01 for 50 items, Saved: $81.12 (57.89% savings)
Got back $2 OYNO Q

Transaction #2:
Total OOP: $14.28 for 6 items, Saved: $13.94 (49.4% savings)
Got another $2 OYNO Q

Highlights of this trip include:
BOGO bacon
BOGO beef roasts
BOGO pork chops
BOGO ground turkey
BOGO vitamins (I only got 1~ you can do this on all BOGO items at GE EXCEPT meats)
20 free pancake mix pouches after Qs
1 free facial tissue pack after Q
2 free Snuggle dryer sheets after Qs
4 loaves Nature's pride bread at $.19 each after Qs

And I got the rest of the items I need to do my final 2 SC Johnson $5 rebates (you can do 3 per household).

Target trip

After Rite Aid, I went to Target. I dropped off a prescription that was a transfer (since we have new insurance and are no longer bound to one pharmacy). I got a $10 for transferring that prescription with the coupon here.

Target has the same deal that the HP website has right now, with BOGO 50% off on their ink cartridges. I did some price comparison and they were the same price at Target, so I picked up 2 packages. Each package had a black and a color cartridge. So I got 4 ink cartridges for $86.98.

I also needed to replenish my baby supplies, so I got the Up and Up (Target brand) of:
Infant Tylenol
Infant Motrin
Children's Tylenol
Children's Motrin
Baby powder
3 diaper rash creams
Petroleum jelly
I didn't have any Qs for these, but I needed them!
I found some nice little totes with handles on them in the $1 section, so I picked up 2 of those, to store all this baby stuff.

I picked up a yoga mat for $2.50 for Cora to do tummy time on. Easy to clean up when she spits up!

I also got a Johnson's buddy soap for free with a Target Q.

And to finish up my Johnson & Johnson rebate, I got Baby Aveeno (with $1 off MFQ).

I was also in search of a bin that had handles and wheels to store all of Cam's cars, that he could carry and/or push around. Found it for $6.99!

And got some more light bulbs that we needed (-$1.50 MFQ)

Also, at my Target, if you use reuseable bags, you get an addition $.05 off for each bag you use. I got an extra $.10 off (every little bit helps!)

Total was $132.83. Ouch! But if I would have bought all the brand names of the toiletries I needed, and paid full price for the ink cartridges, it would have been a lot more!

Rite Aid trip (average of 83.88% savings)

After having to leave my cart to go back home for the $5 off coupons that I had forgotten (ugh!), I did pretty good at Rite Aid this week! I bought enough stuff (with 2 coloring books for Cam as fillers) to do 3 transactions. They were:

Transaction #1:
Huggies jumbo pack ($8.99-$1 VV Q-$1.50 MFQ=$6.49)
Aveeno lotion ($3.49-$1 in ad Q-$2 IP=$0.49)
Coloring book ($2.99)
Clean & Clear cleanser ($4.99-$1 in ad Q-$2 IP=$1.99)
-$5/$20 IP
=$7.96 OOP (70.33% savings)

Transaction #2:
Coloring book ($2.99)
Huggies jumbo pack ($8.99-$1 VV Q-$1.50 MFQ-$1 SCR=$5.49)
Mach 3 disposable razors ($5.99-$3 MFQ-$1 SCR=$1.99)
Lubriderm lotion ($4.29-$1 in ad Q-$2 IP=$1.29)
-$5/$25 IP
=$10.60 OOP
After SCR, total OOP=$8.60 (74.02% savings)

Transaction #3:
GE soft white long life light bulbs ($2-$2 SCR=FREE)
Theraflu ($4.99-$2 MFQ-$3 SCR=0.01 MM)
Contac ($4.99-$2 MFQ-$4.99 SCR=$2 MM)
Lubriderm lotion ($4.29-$1 in ad Q-$2 IP=$1.29)
Clean & Clear cleanser ($5.49-$1 in ad Q-$2 IP=$2.49)
-$5/20 IP
=$7.85 OOP
After SCR, total OOP=-2.14 (107.29% savings)

Why am I buying all of these Johnson & Johnson products? There is a rebate on coupons.com (see the left side bar) for $10 if you buy $30 worth of products. This shopping trip didn't get me to the $30, but after Target (see next post), I got it. I'll post separately about the rebate.

Stay tuned either today or tomorrow for details on the rest of my shopping trip. My morning 'rest time' is over, since Cora is awake, and Cameron will be soon to follow. Hope you enjoy your day!

Walgreens trip- 1/10/10- Saved 65%

I must say, I rocked Walgreens today with the help of my wonderful husband! I couldn't have done it without him considering he helped run to the register and keep our toddler entertained. I was bummed that another girl got to the last Dryel 5 seconds before I did, but oh well! I still worked some great deals!

Transaction #1
*I started with $3 in RR*

I bought:
1 Thermacare heat wrap trial size $2.49 ($1.00 MFQ & received $2.50 RR) $1.00 MM!!

1 Colgate Max Fresh toothpaste $2.99 ($0.75 MFQ & received $2 RR)
2 cow tales candies: $0.58**
$2 RR coupon
$1 RR coupon

**I needed 2 filler items to make my coupon to item ratio 1/1. Walgreens RRs work like MFQs, unlike CVS ECBs. You must have 1 item per coupon.

Total OOP for this transaction: $5.02 & received $6.50 RR!

Transaction #2
*I started with the $6.50 RR from transaction #1*

I bought:
2 Oral B Cross Action toothbrushes: 2/$6 ($0.75 MFQ)
2 Sunlight Dish Detergents: (BOGO $1.99 WAGS in-ad coupon & $0.25 MFQ)
filler item-1 cow tale candy: $0.29

Total OOP for this transaction: $1.32 & received $2 RR

Transaction #3

I bought:
I Nivea Shower Gel $4.99 ($2 MFQ & received $2 RR)

1 Colgate Max Fresh toothpaste: $2.99 ($0.75 MFQ & received $2 RR)
1 cow tale: $0.29

Total OOP for this transaction: $7.47 & received $6.50 RR

(I was checking out at the pharmacy & picking up a presciption and forgot to wait for my husband to get back with the $2 RR from transaction #2 to put towards transaction #3. I didn't need to buy the cow tale as a filler item.)

Total before sales & coupons for everything: $39.78
I spent $13.81 and have $8.50 RR in my pocket. That's a 65% savings!!
