It was time to make our monthly trip to Albertson's to get meat. I was beginning to wonder what I was going to cook. My stockpile was almost gone! Ryan and I headed to Albertson's after his tumbling class this morning. They had some great meat deals as always and we stocked up. Here is how we did:

6.5 lbs. 80% lean ground beef: $12.82 ($1.99/lb.)
3 packs center cut pork chops B1G2 FREE: $14.62 (I ended up with 6 meal's worth of pork).
cooked shrimp: $3.47 (I splurged on Ryan and myself for lunch!)
seafood boil: $1.79
12 boneless skinless chicken breasts: 13.82 ($1.99/lb.) (These are the biggest, juiciest chicken breasts I have found and always on sale!)
Yobaby Meals yogurt: $2.99

Total before sales & coupons: $96.97
I paid: $49.51!

Head on over and grab yourself a newspaper Central Floridians!! There is an Albertson's $5/$50 purchase coupon in the ad today in the Orlando Sentinel. If your Publix accepts this as a competitor, then you're in for a treat.

It was time to stock up on meat again. I realized all I had in the freezer was a lot of ground beef. We got some really great deals as usual and made a nice family evening out of the trip. We grabbed the cooler, got our meat, and headed out to dinner. I honestly can fit NOTHING else in my freezer. We are stocked!

Albertson's $5 off $50 Coupon in 8/25 Orlando Sentinel!

Head on over to your local convenience store and grab an Orlando Sentinel today if you're in the area. If you're lucky to live within 5 miles or so of an Albertson's there is a $5/$50 purchase coupon in their ad again! This is super exciting since most Publix stores will accept this as a competitor!

It's Wednesday! If you're lucky enough to live in Central FL and live within 5 miles of an Albertson's, you should find a $5/$50 purchase coupon on the front page of their ad. Head out and get a newspaper before the day is out. My Publix will take these as a competitor coupon!

Ryan and I headed to Albertson's after his tumbling class yesterday since we were close to the store. I needed produce for next week's dinner menu and they had a good sale on lots that I needed. It was a very successful trip with a very well-behaved young man :-) Here is how we did:

It was time to get meat again in our house. I hadn't stocked up in awhile and we were running really low. After Ryan's haircut (which btw, he sat ALL BY HIMSELF FOR with NO CRYING), we headed up to our local Albertson's to do some damage in the meat dept. Overall, I did very well. It helped that I had a very content 2 year old who got to ride in the "school bus" cart as he calls it. *A side note of hilarity...we're leaving the meat counter and he yells, "Hey people, I ridin' in da cool bus!" Just when I needed some comic relief :-)

Here is how I did:

6 lbs. 90% lean ground beef: $18.86 (there were manager's special peelie's on each package giving me a total of $4 off). Not bad for 90% lean meat!

2 pkgs. petite sirloin steaks BOGO: $7.64 ea.
1 pkg. New York Strip steak: $7.64 (on sale for $5.88/lb.) I splurged since it was on a great sale. I love me some steak!
2 pkgs. center cut pork chops BOGO: $4.09 ea.
2 Angus chuck roasts BOGO: $7.28 ea.
5 lbs. boneless/skinless chicken breasts: $8.87 ($1.68/lb.!!!) I found these in the butcher block. They are HUGE chicken breasts at at unbeatable price for boneless/skinless!

1 red bell pepper: $1
1 green bell pepper: $1
newspaper: $1

Total before sales & coupons: $135.18
I paid: $76.79 and have a WHOLE lot of meat stocked up!

Look out Central Florida folks! There is a $5 off $50 Albertson's purchase coupon in today's (7/28) Orlando Sentinel. If you happen to live close to an Albertson's there should be one on the front page of the Albertson's ad. I will be using mine at Publix this weekend!

*If you do not have an Albertson's near you, then you may not receive the Albertson's ad in your newspaper. I know I have to drive to Seminole County (about 2 miles from me) to get my Wed. paper to receive the ad. Luckily I don't have to go far!
