So yeah, I usually avoid Walmart like the plague, but I needed to get school supplies for Ryan and they did have the best deals on what I needed. He starts preschool soon! Anyway, while I was there, I picked up some of the things on my grocery list that I didn't have coupons for since they were cheaper than Publix. Here is how I did:
3 Huggies 72 ct. wipes: $1.54 ea. (used $2.50/3 MFQ)
hamburger buns: $.88
eggs: $1.18
Agave nectar: $6.37
butter: $2.34
breaded okra: $1.50
2 bags mixed veggies: $.96 ea.
1 bag broccoli & cauliflower: $1.58
1 bag green beans: $1.00
1 bag corn: $1.00
jar of mushrooms: $1.08
half & half: $1.64
Spent $25.11 OOP on groceries (not counting all the school supplies)
Everything I bought was just slightly cheaper by a few cents than Publix. I think I saved an average of about $3 overall. It wasn't a whole lot, but since I was there and had no coupons for most of these items (and Publix has no veggies on sale this week and we NEED them), I couldn't pass up the el cheapo prices.
