Abbreviations-Get to Know the Coupon Lingo!

OK new couponers, I was just as confused as you when I started this business. What does all this crazy lingo mean?! Here are some abbreviations to help you out!

Blinkie- Coupon dispensed from machines typically found in grocery store, recognized by blinking light
BOGO or B1G1- Buy 1 Get 1 Free
B2G1- Buy 2 Get 1 Free
Cat or Catalina- These are the Q's that print out of a special machine at the register during checkout
CRT- Cash Register Tape
ESC- Walgreens Easy Saver Coupon
ECB- CVS Extra Care Buck
ESR- Walgreens Easy Saver Rebate
EXP- Expires
FAR- Free After Rebate
FF- Fire Fox (some printables can only be printed using the Fire Fox browser)
GE- Giant Eagle
IE- Internet Explorer (some printables can only be printed using the Internet Explorer browser)
IP- Internet Printable
IVC- Instant Value Coupon (Walgreens)
MFQ- Manufacturer coupon
MIR- Mail In Rebate
MM- Money Maker
OYNO- On Your Next Order
OOP- Out of Pocket
Peelie- Coupon found on products that you peel off to use
PG/P&G- Proctor & Gamble coupon insert (from the newspaper)
Q- coupon
RA- Rite Aid
RP- Redplum coupon insert
RR- Walgreens Register Reward
SCR- Single Check Rebate (Rebate from Rite Aid)
SS- SmartSource soupon insert
Stack- Using multiple coupons on one item, ie using a MFQ and a store Q on the same item
VV- Video Values (Q's from Rite Aid)
WAGS- Walgreens
WYB- When you buy
YMMV- Your Miles May Vary, ie your shopping experience may be different from one store to another. Your shopping experience may differ from another shopper's experience at the same store, etc.
